We're thrilled to share the journey as professional Wedding & Events DJs that began in 2012. Little did we know a hobby would blossom into a thriving business, thanks to the unwavering support of incredible clients. Their belief in our potential helped us evolve into one of Frederick's most sought-after DJs.
In April of 2023, Burnside Events was officially born. After spending 10 years leading another DJ company in the Frederick, MD area, founder Cory Albaugh decided it was time to branch off and do things his own way—creating a company that reflects the energy and quality every couple deserves.
Today, Burnside Events is a true family affair. The Coughlin siblings—Caitriona, Therese, and Kaylin—run our photo booth operations, while Cory's wife Hannah works as a wedding hairstylist in the same industry. When you book with us, you're not just getting vendors—you're getting a team that genuinely cares.

Local Frederick Roots
Cory was born and raised right here in Frederick. His stepdad has been DJing since the late '80s, so music and events have always been in the family blood. When you work with us, you're working with people who know this community inside and out.
A True Family Affair
The Coughlin siblings (Caitriona, Therese, and Kaylin) run our photo booth operations. One of them is even married to Cory! And Cory's wife Hannah is a wedding hairstylist. We get weddings because we live them.
Team Chemistry
Mark has been with Cory since 2015—he even DJ'd Cory's wedding. Jeremy brings 20+ years of experience. Brent packed out Cellar Door for four years. When you book Burnside, you get people who actually enjoy working together.
